Do you experience body itching after bathing or itchy skin after shower or when sweating? This video describes aquagenic pruritus, and addresses causes, cures and home remedy.
BODY ITCHING AFTER BATHING: Cause And Solution
Even though, first thought will be things like filariasis, or some causes of body itching… if you do the tests, they will be negative Because It is something else.
What then is it?
The name is as strange as the itches and symptoms.
It is called Aquagenic Pruritus
And that is derived from Latin: Aquagenic means water-induced, and pruritus, means itch.
It typically happens after taking your bath but since water is always present to some extent in the air (atmospheric humidity), those with greater sensitivity who live in moister regions seem to always experience this itching.
Also, sweating can cause frequent symptoms even in the dry weather.
Unfortunately, we still don't adequately understand how and why this whole thing happens...and so, treating it is equally non-specific.
Now because we don’t know have enough information, no definitive medical test is known for aquagenic pruritus.
Rather, the diagnosis is made by excluding all other possible causes of itching.
But, take this home:
1) Take your bath with warm water (hot baths help some people).
2)Get a softer sponge.
3)Dry your body immediately and very well after bathing. Use the fan or A/C.
4)See your doctor. Drugs like Loratidine help some people. Add Prednisolone or hydrocortisone. And an anti-itching cream or lotion.
It should improve.

Even though I am a medical doctor, the information I supply here is "general information" and, therefore, does not serve as specific diagnosis and treatment for your particular health challenge. If you require personalized diagnosis and therapy for your specific medical condition, consult with a medical doctor personally. Also, even though I occasionally recommend some strong drugs, products, and supplements in some videos, I will give this serious instruction: Don’t use them indiscriminately or without expert prescription.

Thanks Doc....I've had this problem for approximately 6 years...I had tried all you said b4 even watching this video...tried balancing my diet, tried ingesting antihistamines since one of my docs told me I could possibly be hydro phobic...meaning water resistant or allergic to water.....which definitely sounded crazy...,tried out Eucerin skin calming body wash which contains omega oils but all in vain....my final quest was when I when for a blood test to check whether the itchiness that I was experiencing after bathe was caused by something internal...but was told that I was allergic to wheat and gluten...then I went gluten free and cut of wheat based foods..but all in vain....so my conclusion as 6 years victim of this "aquegenic pruritus"....I think it's caused by high level of chlorine in the water...if not chlorine then this could definitely be a new disease in the block...the new cancer....I we victims have to deal with it to death ...no hope for a cure...not wanting to be negative....let's say it's chlorine caused or poor feeding habits....!!!...Help us God
Your situation must be unique because what I mentioned in the video is what we have been using for several people all these years...
And it has been quite effective — with most people never experiencing it again.
Sorry about your experience. I understand
Apply all I said in the video. Also, go back to your doctor and tell him that even though he said there is no problem, the itching is still disturbing you too much.
Suggest to him to prescribe drugs and body creams.
Sorry about the experience.
Trials have already established that the famous blue pill’s main ingredient helps those with damaged hearts by boosting blood flow.
But now a new study by the Centre for Cardiac Research at the University of Manchester has shown that cells from a failing heart actually survive for longer when they are given a Viagra-like drug which is normally used to treat impotence in men.
